‘Blue Day’ – Friday 13 May

We will once again be donating to the Tom Prince Cancer Trust which was founded in 2004 in memory of Tom, who was a pupil at Priory School.  Tom died the evening before his 16th birthday from teenage bone cancer osteosarcoma, which had been diagnosed only 18 months previously.

Many staff members still have fond memories of Tom and it is important to us that we remember him during the annual ‘Blue Day’ event.

We are inviting pupils to come into school on Friday 13 May in non-uniform, wearing items that are predominantly blue in colour and suitable to be worn in a mixed age, mixed sex environment.  We are asking that pupils make a minimum donation of £1 so that we can support the Trust in its attempt to reach its goal of one million pounds.

Please note: Pupils who have a PE lesson on this day MUST bring their PE kit for the lesson and will not be allowed to participate in the clothes they are wearing to school. This is on the grounds of hygiene and to continue to educate the pupils on a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely
