Parents’ Information and Advice Evening Thursday 5 May 2016 6pm -8pm
This evening effectively represents the “One year to Go” marker before your son/daughter embarks on their GCSE examinations. We want to ensure that they, and you, receive the best possible advice and support.
We recognise that the approaching GCSE examinations can be a stressful time for pupils and parents; this evening is an opportunity to offer advice in ways to support and encourage your son/daughter in the lead up to the GCSEs.
The evening will provide parents with the opportunity to listen to presentations on the following areas and ask specific questions.
The focus of the evening will be:
- New GCSEs. New grades. English and Maths will present on the critical elements of their subject revision so parents will feel better able to support their son/daughter to succeed.
- Revision-what works, what doesn’t!
- Supporting your teenager-practical advice on ways to support your son/daughter as they approach their exams.
The letter sent to Year 10 parents is attached HERE.
