On Thursday 14th April a small group of Priory pupils made their way to the Hilton hotel by the Ageas Bowl for the STEM event ‘Big Bang’. The fair consisted of more than 30 different exhibitors covering all areas of science and technology, including the armed forces (complete with Navy helicopter), colleges and university, STEM businesses and council representatives. The pupils were able to visit all the exhibitors taking part in various interactive examples of STEM – their particular favourite was flying an hover plane toy (see the picture below).
Pupils also met an ex-Priory pupil! Daniel is now an engineer with Balfour Beatty and was keen to meet our pupils. He will hopefully be visiting our school soon to speaker to a larger number of our pupils about his journey since leaving Priory.
As always our pupil’s were well behaved and smartly dressed, gaining positive comments from the exhibitors. Well done Priory!
