On Thursday 21 May we held the final of Priory’s Got Talent in the main hall. Nine acts from all Year Groups battled it out to become this year’s winner in front of an audience of seventy.
Over the last couple of weeks our pupils have been auditioning for Priory’s Got Talent and over twenty acts auditioned.
The pupils have been even more diverse in their skills this year and have shown their talents by singing, dancing, playing their instruments, trampolining, beat boxing and performing magic.
The Acts were judged by the Audition judges, Mr Charles, Miss Forster and Mr Young, and then were shortlisted for the final and rehearsed to get them ready for the performance.
The Final was a great success with the acts performing for our Panel of judges, Mrs Andrew, Mr Everitt, Mr Humphries and Ms Stephenson who then decided who would win the trophies which were very generously donated by the Parent Teacher Association.
1st place Lily Scott-Joynt and Imogen Thomas in Year 7 performing “When I grow Up” from the musical Matilda.
2nd place Sam Greenwood and Paige Hornsey in Year 11 performing a song by Hudson Taylor.
3rd place Ellie Ballantyne, Bryani Blyth, Abby Goulding and Madison Light in Year 8 performing “Yours” by Ella Eyre.
Well done to the other soloists for making it through to the final, Grace Jones and Milosz Schmidt in Year 9, Cei Crewe in Year 10, Fay Edwards and Summer Littlecott, Jonathon Marsden-Broad in Year 11.
All monies from ticket sales will go towards next Year’s School Production and we look forward to Priory’s Got Talent 2016.
