First World War Memorabilia

Ms Yeoman and a small group of pupils have been researching the role the school played during the First World War.  In addition to the doctors and nurses who worked and were treated in the main building, we have come across some fascinating information about the building.

One treasure that we have discovered is a photo of the main hall circa 1916.  The photo was kindly shared with us by Alan Laishley who runs a website and Facebook page commemorating soldiers from Portsmouth who served in WW1.  PORTSMOUTH WW1

Some of the work our group have produced is currently on display at the Temporary Men exhibition at the Central Library.  We are also working in partnership with the Lest We Forget exhibition at the City Museum on an exciting project that will be available for viewing in the new year.  The Lest We Forget exhibition is free to visit and is running until 25th January.
