Well done to all of our Year 11 leavers on a strong set of GCSE results!

We were 6% up on last year for the number of our pupils achieving the ‘gold standard’ at 47% in 2014 compared to 41% in 2013 (the ‘gold standard’ is 5+ GCSEs at A*-C grades including English and Maths).  52% achieved 5+ A*-C GCSE grades overall.

James Humphries, Headteacher, said “I’m very proud of all of the hard work that our pupils, teachers and parents have put in to achieve these results.  We have shown a solid improvement this year and plan to continue improving outcomes for our young people.”

Alice Kellam was our highest performing girl and she achieved a fantastic 11 A*s and 2 A grades (all GCSE qualifications).

Jimmy Yeung was another star performer with 6 A*s 5 As, a B and a C grade at GCSE.  This is especially impressive as he is also ranked top 20 in the country for table tennis and has been competing nationally and training alongside his GCSE studies this year.
Millie Lepora has struggled significantly with a serious lung condition which meant that she frequently could not attend school over the last five years.  However, she put in an amazing amount of effort and overcame the odds to achieve.
