A meeting of the Full Governing Body on Monday 27th of January voted unanimously for the school to join the Bohunt Multi Academy Trust. Governors discussed all the issues raised in the consultation, in which 70 people expressed an opinion. Of these, around half were parents* and half were staff, with a small number of other stakeholders contributing to the consultation. Respondents voted 68% in favour of joining the MAT.
You can read in full the comments made by pupils and respondents to the online consultation in the documents attached. Questions and opinions raised by pupils are also attached.
The next step is for the Bohunt Governing Body to meet next week, with ministerial approval later in February. It is hoped that the school will become an Academy on 1.9.14.
Staff will be part of a formal consultation for the TUPE procedure. We will continue to work with pupils and families to shape our vision for the school within the new Trust.
*Note the first few days of the consultation was only notified to parents and did not require respondents to state their status. Most of the 7 ‘others’ are therefore presumed to be parents.
