Pupil Oscars at the King’s Theatre, Southsea

downloadKarel was the deserved winner of the coveted pupil Oscar for Curriculum Achievement at last night’s 10th Pupil Oscar Ceremony at the King’s Theatre in Southsea.

Karel won the Oscar against some tough competition from pupils across the whole spectrum of local primary and secondary schools.  He was nominated because of the amazing progress he has made since joining Priory and his dedication to playing the violin – many of you will remember his stunning performance at our own prize-giving evening in June where lots of us were reduced to tears by his musical ability.  Karel won an amazing glass trophy and a £50 high street voucher.  Well done Karel!

Priory had nominations in every category of the awards but sadly missed out to primary school pupils across the city.  Congratulations must go to our worthy nominees – for ‘Attendance’, Will Mahoney, for ‘Overcoming Difficulties’, Sam Dazley, for ‘Service to the Community’, Sam Ndlovu and for ‘Contribution to School Life’, Megan Wright.
